1. Introduction

This Privacy Statement explains how JusticeXpress, Inc., a Delaware public benefit corporation qualified to do business in Florida (“JusticeXpress,” “we,” “us,” or “our“), collects, uses, and shares information when you use www.justicexpressmediation.com and the JusticeXpress Mediation Platform (the “Services“). By using the Services, you agree to this Statement and to our Terms of Use. The platform is provided free of charge to divorcing couples whose mediator chooses to use it.

Our role — who decides how your information is used. JusticeXpress is a technology provider, not a mediator or a law firm. For the information you provide inside a mediation — your questionnaire responses, financial statements, and uploaded documents — the mediator you select is the controller of that information and decides how it is used to conduct your mediation; JusticeXpress acts as the mediator’s service provider (processor) and handles that information on the mediator’s behalf under a written data processing agreement. For your website account, support requests, and marketing preferences, JusticeXpress is the controller. This Statement covers both roles.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Contact and account details — your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and login credentials.
• Mediation information — your responses to the divorce and parenting-plan questionnaires, and the financial statements and other documents you upload.
• Communications — messages you send through the platform or to our support team.
• Mediator applications — if you apply to be listed in our directory, your certification status, county, website, description of your online mediation experience, and contact details.

Because divorce mediation involves sensitive information — including financial details and information about family members and children that you provide — we handle it with particular care.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar log data, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and analytics”).

3. How We Use Information

We use information to: provide and operate the platform and the mediation process; generate the documents you request; connect you with the mediator you select and enable communication among participants; provide customer support; maintain the security and integrity of the Services and prevent misuse; improve the Services; and comply with our legal obligations. When we handle mediation information, we do so on the instructions of the mediator you selected.

We do not use your personal information — including your questionnaire responses, financial details, or uploaded documents — to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and we do not sell or rent it. Any improvement of the Services is done without repurposing your mediation information for AI model training.

4. How We Share Information

We share information:

• With the mediator you select, as needed to conduct your mediation.
• With the other party to your mediation, as appropriate to the process.
• With service providers that help us operate the Services — for example, website hosting, secure document storage, form and email delivery, customer support, and video-conferencing providers — who process information on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
• For legal and safety reasons — to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.
• In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not provide it to any third party to train artificial-intelligence models.

5. Mediation Confidentiality

The mediation process is intended to be confidential, and mediation communications are treated as confidential as provided in your agreement to mediate and applicable law. This Statement describes our data practices and is not legal advice about mediation privilege; consult an attorney with questions about how confidentiality applies to your matter.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. We may use analytics tools to measure and improve the Services.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, complete your mediation, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You may access or update your account information, opt out of marketing emails, and request that we correct or delete your information, subject to legal and operational limits. To make a request, email support@justicexpress.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor those rights as required by law.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for adults 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Information about minor children that a parent provides as part of a parenting plan is treated as part of that parent’s mediation information.

11. Third-Party Links

The Services may link to third-party websites, including mediators’ own sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies before providing information.

We may update this Statement from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when. Material changes will be posted on this page.
